When you book your stay at Telunas Private Island, pre-book a Pottery Lesson!
Overview. The lesson last two hours and is a fun way to spend the afternoon. Up to eight people can join in the class at a time.
What You Will Learn. You will learn how to make a handmade tile with a local flair. Leave it behind to be fired in the Telunas kiln and it will be gifted to a local community. The tiles are used in surrounding villages as a decorative element for community development projects. Many can be seen today in schools and public spaces.
You’ll also try out the pottery wheel. Our local potter will demonstrate and teach you how to work the wheel. Then it’s your turn. Take a ball of clay and turn it into a work of art.
Great memories. You will return home with great photos and fond memories of your class.
Note: Pottery made in class are not put in the kiln during your stay. You may take home your work of art, but because it will still be damp. We do not recommend this.
Terms and Conditions. Must be booked at least seven days prior to arrival.
